President's Report Summer 2007

From Elder Daniel Cunningham

For the past several months, ISAAC has continued to gain more momentum and intensity in this next level of advocacy as we grow both numerically and financially.

We welcome our new strategic partner, The Poverty Reduction Initiative. In addition to our new partner, we are collaborating with K-College on a summer internship, which will assist ISAAC in organizing our community, particularly youth. We are also collaborating with KVCC on a work-study position. Please welcome Pamela Wilson and Jamie Dybdahl when you call or come in the ISAAC office. ISAAC looks to foster and grow a stronger relationship with all the colleges and universities in the area.

We celebrate the Kalamazoo Community Foundation for awarding ISAAC a $30,000 grant to continue the work of social justice through the "Faith and Democracy" Campaign, A Conversation in Action.

We embark on our campaign for "Faith and Democracy," we anticipate a great response from various community organizations and congregations that truly want to participate in the transformation of our community.
