President’s Message

Doug King2What am I going to do now? Why did this happen this way? How could this have happened? I’m excited for the future. It’s not that bad! Finally there will be some needed change. I’m going to move. Can you believe what just happened? OMG! The country has truly shown it colors. Social Justice is about to be pushed to the back burner. Our country is in deep trouble.  All of these are questions and comments I‘ve heard following our most recent election.

Well I think based on everything that I’ve heard, I think we can truly say:

[su_list icon=”icon: check” icon_color=”#9602ca”]
  • Change is certainly imminent.
  • We now face an interesting dilemma.
  • Many people are struggling to find answers and/or direction.
  • In the past few weeks we’ve experienced just about every emotion possible.
[/su_list] First, I want you to know that Social Justice will not be taking a backseat or be pushed to the back burner, and the flames of justice will continue to burn brighter than ever before. We are a resilient country and we are a resilient people. ISAAC is still committed to Micah 6:8 – He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. (NIV)

As people of faith, it really doesn’t matter who sits in any office, as long as we continue to have faith in the one who sits on the throne. Then do our part–act justly and love mercy and walk humbly with God.

Be encouraged!

Servant Leader,
Elder Douglas King
