What an Opportunity!
In my Christian tradition there’s a scripture that comes from Galatians 6:10 – Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. (NIV)
There’s no excuse for treating people badly. My bible tells me, that I should pray for those who treat me badly because this shows that I’m exemplifying the true love of God. After all, God is love, so doing anything contrary seems a little out of place – don’t you think?
With all the turmoil in the world today, we have a great “opportunity” as a “faith-based grassroots” organization to truly mobilize and make a significant impact in the world. We have a great “opportunity” to come together and truly be “One nation under God”.
Challenges and difficulties often cause us to retreat, but now is not the time to retreat. Now is the time to unite and become even stronger.
It is even more critical to fight the things that divide us and to realize the things that unite us.
What an Opportunity!
