2025 ISAAC Annual Breakfast – Wellness, Advocacy and Covenanting

Nearly 100 ISAAC supporters unified to share a meal, conversation and commitment to justice and equity in our community during the 2025 Annual Breakfast this past December.

While enjoying a nourishing catered breakfast, the community heard from several ISAAC Family and Partners. New ISAAC Members also participated in our ISAAC Covenanting Ceremony by pouring sand as a symbol of the beloved community. Many were also moved by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Kitchen Prayer and the call by ISAAC Executive Director Dr. Charlae Davis to continue the work in unity. Here’s what people had to say:

“What I most enjoyed at the breakfast was hearing two people say that their introduction to ISAAC was by invitation of Rochelle Habeck! Rochelle was not able to attend, so she appreciated it when I texted her the grateful comments made about her.”

“It was refreshing to be in a positive atmosphere despite the tensions that may exist outside the walls of the breakfast. People with unique backgrounds came together agreeing that Kalamazoo is a beloved community that can receive God’s abundance. We received great opportunities for reflection and were nourished with a good meal.”

“I’m really encouraged by the ISAAC breakfast this morning. We have great people in our community committed to doing grassroots work together. It really takes all of us, and I value this unique, collaborative approach. If you’re looking for a local place to make a financial contribution before the year ends (and ongoing), please consider ISAAC. If you’re looking for a place to give your time and talents, please consider ISAAC. They are putting trusted people in our communities to decrease gun violence and help heal hearts. They are showing up to public meetings and giving input on critical matters. They are supporting voting efforts each election. They are committed to anti-racism work.”

ISAAC relies on grants and donations to continue the pursuit of a just community. Thank you for your generosity, time, energy and support in making all of this possible! Become a GEM and join us at our next breakfast – https://isaackalamazoo.org/donate/!
