A very warm welcome to Pastor Sean Kidd, the new pastor at Westwood United Methodist Church, which is a founding member of ISAAC and has very actively supported our work together ever since 2002!
Rev. Sean K. Kidd has been serving congregations in Michigan since 1993. He comes to Westwood United Methodist Church after serving other Methodist parishes for the past eight years, and as an ordained minister in the Church of Christ for 17 years prior to his transition to the UMC. Pastor Sean grew up in Kentwood, Michigan, and later returned there to raise his five children. He is passionate about preaching, teaching and pastoral care and feels his greatest calling is to serve the local church. He believes strongly in confronting social and civil injustice, and evil in any form in which it presents itself. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, sampling the local cuisine, attending Michigan State Football games, fly fishing, and spending time on the water.
Pastor Sean earned a Bachelor of Religious Education (B.R.E.) from Great Lakes Christian College in 1993, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Practical Ministries and Leadership from Cincinnati Bible Seminary in 2003, and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio in 2018.

Ed Genesis is an artist, poet, musician, organizer, entrepreneur, and community leader. Born and raised in Gary, Indiana and moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan permanently in his early 20’s, his love of art/music, his passion for his people and community, and his gift of creativity are evident in all areas of his work. In October 2018 Ed Genesis released a song to accompany the campaign he was working on around school push out, entitled Junior High, which was distributed nationwide including on his own iHeart radio station, Spotify, and iTunes.
