Bus Routes at Risk!

metro-transit-1Three major bus routes are at risk because Oshtemo, Pavilion and Texas Townships recently voted to partially or totally “opt out” of the new urban transit district:

  • 9th St. to KVCC (Texas Township)
  • N Ave to the large mobile home park east of Sprinkle (Pavilion Township)
  • West Main St. to the retail center west of 131 (Oshtemo Township)

We need your help to urge them to reconsider their vote and schedule another vote for the purpose of OPTING IN. (Comstock Township, Kalamazoo Township, Parchment, and the cities of Kalamazoo and Portage all voted to totally “opt in.”)

Please help fill the room at these township meetings in January. Speakers from ISAAC congregations and organizations, and people who depend on these bus routes, will greatly appreciate your presence. Numbers matter!
