Public leaders who are willing to build a more just community need inspiration and support from our faith communities! That’s what our Public Meeting is all about. We need large numbers of people from our ISAAC congregations and organizations to be there on October 25. Plan to bring everyone you can! Come show our public officials, candidates and community leaders your support for Anti-Racism, Anti-Poverty and Affordable Housing improvements in our wider community.

[pl_modal title=”Title” type=”btn” colortype=”info” label=”What is an ISAAC public meeting like?”]
It’s a powerful community event inspired by our faith values of equity for all God’s children. It’s held every two years to give public officials, candidates, and our institutions the support they need to make changes that will build a more just community.

[pl_modal title=”Title” type=”btn” colortype=”info” label=”Why is it important for me to attend, and for my congregation or organization to come?”]
To be a part of the Beloved Community that ISAAC is building. To show the power for change that we have together. To give our public officials, candidates and community leaders support, and hold them accountable, for taking the lead on working for a more just community.

[pl_modal title=”Title” type=”btn” colortype=”info” label=”What will be happening at the public meeting?”]
First music, inspiring performances, interfaith prayers, and a procession with the banners of all 29 of our member congregations and organizations. Then presentations by our 3 task forces—Anti-Racism, Anti-Poverty and Affordable Housing—on needed changes of policy or practice at the city, township, county or state level, or in our other institutions, that the task forces have been discerning all year. At the end of each presentation, public officials, candidates or other community leaders give brief responses–to questions about policy changes that the task forces have already asked them to come and support. Then we celebrate with prayer and music!
