Sheila was born and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Upon graduation from High School in 1988, she attended Grambling State University in hopes of pursuing a nursing degree, but soon realized the medical field wasn’t her calling. In 1992 she found her calling and passion as a Cosmetologist. Close to 30 years later, she still has a sincere passion for her craft.
In 2012 she attended and graduated from Kalamazoo Valley Community College and obtained her Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S) in Accounting in 2014. Upon completion of her Degree, she started working with ISAAC, where she found her purpose to help serve her community.
She is married to Nana Takyi. She has three daughters, one a Freshman in College at Wayne State University, one a student at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, and one a Junior at Kalamazoo Central High School.
In her spare time. She enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with family.
