A full house attended the exclusive Von Washington play premiere at the Epic Theatre.

The talented cast gave a powerful moving performance about the history of the Civil Rights movement in Kalamazoo. Lead singer of the Velvelettes, Cal Street, told how it felt at age 14 to be chosen by her family and church to integrate Loy Norrix High School when all her older siblings and friends went to Kalamazoo Central High School.
