Tables of 8 and individual tickets are all discounted $10/person till midnight on May 6!  That’s our way of thanking you for confirming early, because WMU Catering needs to know ahead how many meals to prepare. You save us from over-guessing how many meals we’ll need (and paying for food that’s not needed) or under-guessing the number of meals (and turning away people who want to be there!)  So thank you very much for purchasing your tickets by May 6!

ISAAC presents “Hold Fast to Love and Justice”, this year’s banquet, on Saturday evening May 18 at WMU Bernhard Center, with keynote speaker Mee Moua, a former State Senator in Minnesota, civil rights leader, law and policy consultant to the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and racial healing circle practitioner.  “She is passionate about democracy building, heart leadership and making visible the interconnectedness among people,” said Dr. Charlae Davis, Executive Director of ISAAC.

Performing at the banquet are “Danza Folklorica” youth from El Concilio doing traditional Latinx dance, and “Nick the Drummer and Jesselyn” spreading hope and love with spoken-word poetry, music and songs influenced by world music, jazz, folk, and hip hop.

This year’s ISAAC awards will be given to, Dr. Regena Nelson, Albert Dixon, Elizabeth Upjohn Mason, Innovation Grant Work Group, St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and , Open Doors Kalamazoo.

ISAAC (Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy & Action in the Community) is a network of 30 local congregations and organizations working together to build the “Beloved Community”, in the words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., “a place in which our deepest values of abundance, equity, community, hope, and most of all love are infused into our policies and practices so that every Individual is held as beloved.”  The Kalamazoo Community Foundation is a Community Builder sponsor of the ISAAC Banquet.
