Housing: “Vote Yes for Kids Nov. 3” Report

Vote YES for Kids logoTobi Hanna-Davies, Mary Lewis & Ann Perry, Steering Comm. Members

Election day is our big chance to change the story for 1200 schoolchildren who are likely to be homeless in Kalamazoo County this school year! Research shows that stable housing is essential to children’s educational achievement, emotional development and physical health.

You can make a huge difference for these schoolchildren:

  • Go to voteYESforkids.net to see the program planned and partners involved.
  • VOTE YES on November 3rd for the “Kalamazoo County Local Housing Assistance Fund” millage for families with children ($5/year for the average household.)
  • Forward this to friends countywide.
  • Help us reach the voters.  Can you volunteer?  Help pay for handouts and mailings?  See voteYESforkids.net to help.
The ISAAC Housing Task Force has been a key partner in Vote YES for Kids.  Please do all you can to help!
