Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy & Action in the Community

Youth Violence Prevention Task Force Update

4884_youthviolencepreventionThe Youth Violence Prevention Task Force is currently working on the curriculum for the Future Leaders for Peace (FLFP) leadership development and youth community organizing training.  This training will help prepare our young people to be community leaders and make effective changes to make our community more just.  Stay tuned for more information to get your youth involved in this new and exciting program.

In other news, the Group Violence Intervention strategy being implemented here in Kalamazoo is moving forward.  A job description is being developed for a Program Manager and will be posted in the near future.  It has been a long road to finally bring this to fruition.  ISAAC is proud to be a part of the leadership in this effort.
